And I am a victim of a 996 engine failure.

And to add insult to injury, it’s a non-IMS failure; I couldn’t even get the failure all the cool kids are getting! Not sure what the root cause definitely is, but I’m having a day anyway.

At this point if I were to fix the engine in mine properly I’d have the same money into it as I would that, so I really should have just done that (dammit!)

Sorry to hear, that’s a crap day indeed. C urious what is found to have caused it. These guys are a good reference for rebuild (if feasible) or a crate engine:

There are other good reman engines available through RND/SSF and others that I don’t have experience with (though I buy from SSF), but Vision proved themselves to us and has reasonable pricing .
